Solar and Cash: The Big Boys Have an Answer - Do You? [View article]
I love it when people show their ignorance with statements such as "solar is terrible... the power would go out at night".
Hey geniuses, its called base load power. Coal is not going away any time soon. It will continue to be used as base load power until it is gone. People forget that energy is a global market. If you can reduce your coal usage in Arizona or Nevada even just during the daylight hours, then it lessens demand on coal and lowers the cost of power even for people in Chicago or New York.
Solar Sector Plunges Right Along With Market [View article]
The solution to the "3.4% of market cap dilemma" for FSLR is easily found. Simply allow the stock to come down out of the stratosphere. That will bring down the market cap, which will increase the cash percentage. The insiders are selling because they know such a high PE cannot be sustained. FSLR should be trading at $100 within the next few months. That would push their cash % up over 10%. Everybody knows this is the right move for the market. Like the housing bubble and everything else, it may take time for the market to respond in the proper logical way, but more often than not, it gets there eventually. For FSLR, the correction should come at about the same time LDK launches. Indeed, LDK may be the catalyst for the FSLR correction.

For PAL traders, my TA (for what it's worth, admittedly not much) is telling me that PAL will generate a buy signal if RSI breaks past 43, and will generate a much stronger buy signal if RSI reaches 46, without dropping below 40. Keep your eye on it.
US Energy Bill: Solar Stocks Will Feel All the Heat [View article]
Even your title is wrong. The US economy is what will feel the heat. If the US does not want to take its head out of Butte Montana and realize that the global energy market is undergoing a serious tranformation, then the US will go the way of the DODO. Plain and simple. US needs to flush its worthless congress down the toilet. And that is a fact! Do I sound like Chinese? lol. Seriously though if you think the solar bubble is going to burst then you have no understanding of the global energy market. The only way the solar bubble will burst is if the entire global economy collapses. In which case the price of oil will crash and solar will thus be rendered moot. But if that happens then what would it matter anyway?>
