Retired almost 15 years.
My basic strategy is too emulate Warren Buffett. Invest or trade in sector leaders you would like to own at a lower price. I do that by selling put options below the strike price. At times the stock drops so much that I have to buy the stock at the adjusted price, below the market when I initiated the put trade, and even lower reduced by the premium received. Most often though the stock trades above the strike price and I build cash, keeping premiums. With the market at times so volatile, I've been selecting lower strike prices, getting less in premiums, but suffering less risk. My favorite positions are SPY puts. They have high volume and low spreads providing liquidity.
