One Bright Spot in the U.S. Property Market
I have been a long term holder of MPW. Their future has been and continues to be bright. Please checkyou facts, MPW is much larger than you state:
"As of June 30, 2008, our healthcare portfolio consisted of 46 properties, of which 43 were facilities that we owned and leased to 14 tenants, and of which the remaining were represented by mortgage loans to 2 operators. In addition, as of June 30, 2008, our healthcare portfolio comprised a total investment of approximately $1.1 billion, with an aggregate of approximately 5.2 million square feet and 4,884 licensed beds in 21 states"
From SEC filing Form S-3ASR MEDICAL PROPERTIES TRUST INC - MPWFiled: July 11, 2008 (period: )

Changes in Market Cap for Biggest U.S. Companies
It would nice to see this overlayed wth some historical comparisions by industry group. For example, what isthe current weighting of each sector in the S&P, what was it last year, then what was it a decade ago and finally what is the historical average.

3 Portfolios for a Steady Cash Flow
      Great article.

I currently user EFR and FCO for my monthly bond income. I also have some exposure to RCS and CHY. From the energy sector I use ERF. In real estate I use IGR.

These are just a few. I love the monthly income flow. Currently, I am just plowing it back through reinvestment, but can turnthe spickey on at any time.

Anyone else have some monthly ideas?

I agree with 1 for sure (but I am biased). I have aggressively accumulated LYTS below 10. Long record of dividend payments and increases, check it out for yourself.

Thanks for the list, I will review some of the others.

AOD is missing. Alpine is solid in my opinion. Jill Evans is good. But please do your own research.
