Gyrating Salsa: Brazilian Economy Dancing with Joy
I have held Sadia for over too year new. I have have harvested profits twice, then the split came. I am still holding my last 1/3 and made the decision about 9 months ago, that this would be held as a long term core international holding.

Sadia has a long history. Solid company in my opinion. (please do you own DD).

One note, it is quite volatile, so just have to ignore the gyrations, as to not get shaken out. But thestock will give you opportunities to buy or add a position on market over reactions.

Unilever: Steady Record of Profits, Dividends
Great company. I have a friend thatt has worked at Unilever here in the states for many years. His 401(k) holdings are balanced % diversified. But keeps 20% towards UN and always take advanatge of buying after tax stcok ata discount when offered.

Luckily his employment there made me aware of this company, so i have accumulated also over the year.

This is definitely a long term keeper. It is a great diversifier in a portfolio. Gives global exposure. Managment has consisently performed and rewards shareholders over the decades. My kind of company.

6 Themes Affecting the Global Economy
yeah, i have been holding the Rogers Commodity Fund. I have also been lightening up on some preferrerds (which act like a long term bond). i am focusing my income portion to short term instruments, like EFR & FCO. I want to be in vehices that will adjust as rates start their eventual rise. Inflation protected Money Markets are another idea. Inflation and higher rates are coming and here to stay, sadly. As for equities, growth equities and dividend payers (ones that are growing their dividend) are my focus.

Why Google Set the Net on Fire Today
I am a small investor. I missed the inital offering and runup. I then sat on the sidelines waiting. I welcomed the pullback and have stopped buying in the last month.

I added 1 share every 30 dollars of pullabck over the last year. I will hold these long term. I may even gift 2 shares to each of my nephews. I have employed similar strategis on MA and Bershire B shares in the past.

Family Dollar Stores: Favorable Dividend Analysis
I keep enjoying your analysis. I really learn a lot from every dividend study. I have long been a believer in long term holdings of consistent dividend payers.

I am curious what your thoughts are on some of the Wisdom Tree ETF, specifically the dividend driven ones. The expenses are low, they adjust annually (so in a way actively managed). The volatiltiy, performance, and correlation looks great on many of their funds.

What is your opinion? I still favor individual equities, but am alwyas looking for ideas.

U.S. Long Bonds: Be Careful, We're in Injury Time
I have been watching closely. I am considering moving some of my longer term bond holdings over to Commercial Paper funds (EFR and FCO) and an inflation protected money market. It sounds insane, but I know what inflation an do to bonds. I am desiring to be in short (maybe intermediate, maybe) timeframes. I want instruments that will adjust upwards when rates do. Any thoughts or feedback. (I am also tilting my equity investments towards large cap growth to combat inlation as well)
