When are Americans going to realize that their is more to the world then the good ole USA. The iPhone is in more then 20 countries. And your article can be read globally. How about you title the article "5 Reasons Not to Upgrade to the New iPhone 3G if you live in the USA". I have the iPhone in Austria. T-Mobile's 3G network works quite well. And for 60 bucks a month I get 1000 minutes, 1000 SMSs and 3GB of data. So the plan is perfect for me. Your only product related comment is about the battery. I agree it needs improvement, but if you shut off 3G when not surfing the web I find it can last 2 days without charge with minimal use.

Very misleading. Compare it to cable TV and perhaps you won't be so shocked. CNBC's Business Day is averaging 83,000 adults 25-54 for 2007, up 32% over 2006 (63,000). In total viewers, Business Day is up 21% from 210,000 last year to 254,000 this year, with its best year since 2002. Now those are small numbers. When Seinfeld went off the air it was averaging 20 million viewers.

I was a Citi customer in NYC and have been for years. When I went to Czech Republic for a work assignment I was pleasantly surprised to see a Citi in Brno, where I'd be based. When I opened the account I had hoped to link my US Citi account and my Czech Citi account - no dice. I also thought it would be easier to transfer between the two accounts - no dice. So if Citi plans to do this great, but they need to start with the basics.

I don't agree with the comments of the first post, but besides the fact, IBM's software organization is #2 behind Microsoft. So, also software products.
Also regarding the announcement. IBM has been in these markets for years, in Hungary for example, 80+ years. This new money means, more emphasis. But its not like they are starting from scratch.
