  • Omnicare reportedly exploring sale; trading halted [View news story]
Just spent an afternoon with Omnicare billing for an elderly friend.

I sensed something was not as it should be-----several months ago.

Charges for prescriptions filled going to patient home address and also to
    the nursing home. Double billing.

Everyone has their hands out as you/we get older. One can plan and plan----
but still become a pawn of a system that can promote scams.

  • DOJ sues Omnicare over alleged dementia drug kickbacks [View news story]
Wish I did not know of them. They are in the business of sending filled prescriptions to nursing homes-----just spent 1 afternoon with their record keepers regarding the filling of medication in Arkansas at a nursing home for a friend.

Just know that as you, we , age, everyone has their hands out to make money from the medicare, medicaid system in the USA.

Add another now to the list--------the scam that adds a commission if you move into Senior living at 55 and older-------even if you did not seek their help.

  • HP +3.5%; Street pleased with cost cuts, spinoff forecast [View news story]
This morning I have read articles negative and positive on HP (HPQ)

Have a Hewlett Packard printer of almost 10 years----great for serious writers.

If you want to twit and tweet as the teenagers do then it isn't for you.

Now, here is the disaster------a HP Lap Top and printer with pure junk on the screen---no serious writer / user would want to use. My files are now locked and the local computer genius will unlock the files.

HP's help over the phone is a joke, it takes hours with no resolutions that one pays for------$99.99, just a penny short of $100.00------to unlock the files for printing.

Now after talking to at least 5 HP people out of the USA----wasting time on the telephone with people who can barely speak English, I will begin the process of
getting the files unlocked professionally by the local computer genius.

Then, this computer will be sold or sent to the re-cycle bin------(in England---the dust bin).

  • Sotheby's: Going Once, Going Twice, Going... Down [View article]
One buys art when one has money and others are not buying. There is now a new generation of younger people who are the ones with money to spend on art, decorative art and collectible art.

I find Sotheby's tie in with EBay fascinating. Is it a money maker for Sotheby's or for Ebay?

Art does not have to be by a master of centuries ago-------art captures the moment.

Art does have to appeal to the buyer-----one tip as I have learned, until an artist is deceased and their art gradually gets in the auction market, it is considered of little value.

Before I logged on today------I was ruminating about my brother's art that he did---where is it? Then there is one I bought on EBay years ago ----bought for a few dollars in Georgia via E-Bay before Sotheby's name became associated with E-Bay.

Then there is a simple red rose------bought for a pittance------one of my favorites. 'Then there is the "purple road", painted by a young artist of 9-----from a local art show. She was thrilled and inspired.

I can see the chart pattern with Sotheby's -----yes it could collapse; on the other hand BID could rise as the younger generation with money begin to buy art for either enjoyment or for investment.

    Have a good day----

  • Effect Of Sirius XM's Share Buyback To Diminish [View article]
Really very truly thank you. Main thing from where I am viewing what you are writing is --- to preserve your basic capitol.

Buy, sell, and save some of the original position don't let Mr. Market take back what you earn in your trading.

Amazing how the employees at the top and the boards of directors always get the rewards.

That is why being long any stock is risky --------.

By the way, one question, how did you build your long position? Would enjoy r reading a little more about your history in Siri.

  • 3 Reasons To Be Particularly Bullish On Comcast [View article]
Absolutely correct. I don't want television, cable, all I want is the internet which suffices for my work and hobbies.

Cavalier cost for internet just $29. and odd cents per month.

With modem Cavalier just fine-------thought I had a problem with modem. Not so took to computer expert------real expert-----the computer fan replaced and new battery. Perfect now------so why should I pay for Comcast to take away the good service I now have and charge significantly more.

Just a real shame on the part of Comcast increasing prices and cost on Seniors in our area.

  • Talk America Holder Said $8.10/Share Deal Does Not Reflect Full Value [View article]
Now the saga goes on--------the move from Cavalier to Talk America or the acquisition of Cavalier was to be effective about now and with no problems.

Suddenly we have Comcast courting the management of the apartment building and maybe others in the area. With Comcast , the price increases significantly a price that few Senior Citizens can afford.

Yes, many of the people who developed Northern Virginia are now Seniors and watching every penny they spend.

That is a real shame that some may go without communication services because of the increase in cost under Comcast.

    What's going here?

  • Sirius XM: A Stock That Is Seriously Undervalued [View instapost]
Thanks for the analysis outside of our USA. Refreshing!

Of interest to me is how you came across Sirius. E.G. I have a young woman who has just published her CD---started at age 4 , improvises and can orchestrate in her mind as she designs her music. She can envision the violins, the guitars, the percussion. I am awed.

There are many more people like her in music. These are new performers that would fit well into a Sirius showcase of unknown musicians.

I am a piano teacher in Virginia and work with the Alexander Technique to help musicians with their use as they play to enhance their performance and to prevent injury.

Also , have been in Sirius for years and trade in an out LT and ST.

  • 3 Reasons To Be Particularly Bullish On Comcast [View article]
Yes there is a story here. Cavalier and Talk America, a seamless transition----not so.

Now suddenly Comcast wants to sell a package for about $69.00. Getting the attention of management of apartment buildings-----

I pay $29.00 for Cavalier and Talk America for only internet.

Don't want the Comcast package. I don't have a television and don't want one. The internet is all I need. And, no land line , not needed in this day and age.

IMO the whole internet system that started so simply is now a nightmare.

  • Cardica's (CRDC) CEO Bernard Hausen on Q3 2015 Results - Earnings Call Transcript [View article]
Thank you to Seeking Alpha and to Cardica (CRDC) for the conference call. As a layman, one question I have is a list of the kinds of surgeries in which the stapling technique is used.

For example, back surgeries; Dental procedures; heart surgery; knees et cetera. My second question is the staples disolve or remain permanently in place and/or stimulate new tissue growth. Perhaps I need another link for that question.

    Thank you
