I'm long BCE, RCI, SJR and TU. Bought them when the US$ and CAN$ were at about parity. The last year or so has been tough as the CAN$ has dropped about
    20% against the US$.
Your thoughts on the next year or so?

  • Realty Income: Is This REIT (And Perhaps All Others) Overvalued?  [View article]
Thirty-year T-bonds are now yielding less than the ten-year was last year.
And they are all yielding more than comparable issues in Germany, France, etc. Rates will rise, right? But not right now. So I'm holding on to my REITs, including O, MAA, LXP, HCN, OHI, HCP, WPC, DOC, STAG and MPW.

And it sounds like you're holding on to 95% of yours.

Good work. Might mention LXP's largest shareholder and the improving balance sheet, which is reducing the company's average cost of debt. Long LXP for a few years.

  • Kinder Morgan: A Splendid Quarter To Kick Off A New Era  [View article]
The $.45 dividend was declared on Jan. 21 with a record date of Feb. 2. This is the same schedule KMI used for its 2014 dividends. The $.45 dividend is the first dividend of 2015, not the last of the 2014 dividends. Am I missing something?

    Well done. Thank you.
I own a lot of REITs, including MPW.
Disappointed that the dividend has grown soooo slowly.
And the stock price hasn't been stellar, either.
Your points are strong and I'll be watching for an opportunity to buy more, maybe after a secondary as another reader suggested.

Lots of useful information in these postings.
    I'm long GE--about 1.5% of equities.
The dividend increase of 4.5% is OK considering that inflation is running under 2%.
