FCC Commissioner Copps Votes "No" to Radio Merger: No Surprise

Two questions (sorry if they're stupid!):

1) So now that there are three votes does the 10 day clock start or not? No one seems to be able to agree.

2) Shouldn't the FCC have been fining SIRI and XM over the last decade for these violations?

Still Too Early to Buy Sirius - Merrill

I had to chime in with a LMAO after Merrill posted those great earnings today and slashed 3,000 jobs...people are supposed to listen to them because...they obviously don't know what they are doing? Do you think Glen Campbell issued a "sell" on Merrill's shares as well (that's sarcasm folks). Do you think he is one of those 3,000 (that's an actual sirious question).

Disclosure- We are helpless at the hands of hedge funds and the genius of people running places like Merrill Lynch.

I agree with the above, Tyler has done great covering this. His writing has become better (and more even-handed I suppose) as this saga has unfolded. But what will he do with all of his free time when this finally ends? :)

XM/Sirius Merger Still a Long Shot

I would like to point out that the Super Bowl comes with interruptions built into the game. It's called "TV advertising." And you know what I can listen to through my Ipod that you can't on satellite radio? A little thing called podcasts. I hear that they might be popular someday. I personally could care less if the merger passes or not, but I have found it humorous that google can buy double click and gigantic oil industries combine and no one blink an eye!
