    pk,
Quite the contrary... from your comments I would have to assume you've never compared an Apple bid to a Microsoft bid...

    Dean,
Price is always relevant when considering capital expenditures for hardware and software. Any manager who ignores the direct financial cost isn't really a manager...

Right now MSFT is the lowest cost provider that gets the job done. If that weren't true we would have seen mass switching from MSFT to Apple a long time ago.

I gave the Google example to show that even with low cost if you don't get the job completely right companies won't switch... You know why companies aren't switching to Google? Because their products aren't yet good enough.

Not likely...Apple would need to sacrifice its premium price to even dent msft hold on enterprise. Google has been giving its stuff away for free and can barely say its relevant outside of search.

    "What self-respecting person wants a $50 smartphone."

I pity anyone who measures self respect by the price tag of their latest gadget... it's really sad.

That doesn't really make much sense, they have never delayed a launch that we know of previously to build up supply have they?

This could also be a negative for $MSFT which generates revenue from Android via patents. Not sure if Samsung will be utilizing those patents or not.

So you would say then that a good time to get into the smart phone market would be just days before the new iPhone launch since the new iPhone wouldn't be considered a "major smartphone as far as sales go"

your not talking about console quality games then... your talking about apps you can play on your TV. Which may sound good in theory but your probably better off just playing them on your iPad anyway.

The company that makes candy crush isn't equipped to make COD Ghost, BF4, Zelda, etc...

Apple hasnt been able to keep anything a secret for 6 years now and you suddenly think they've been keeping a game console under wraps?

@Rappenco, there isn't for authors they have to submit corrections/edits which SA has to review and approve. It helps maintain the credibility of the article. If authors could just change stuff whenever you want there would be no accountability.
