  • Tracking Ken Fisher's Fisher Asset Management Portfolio - Q4 2014 Update  [View article]
Looking at this. I am not sure it even looks like any index. Maybe Vanguard's, VT, There are quite a few international holdings that would seem to overweight this more international than VT...he also seems to be overweight financials...he has 26% in miscellaneous holdings so it would be hard to mimic this without knowing. Not that you would want to. The comments on this board seem to echo that.

He is a marketing machine, not a money manager. People need help allocating assets and sticking to a financial/investment plan, but Ken is not the guy to help them. Frankly any money manager that spends so much time and money, cloaking his portfolio is secrecy and marketing everywhere is likely someone to stay away from.

If you own 1 share of AMAT you will own 1 share of the new merged company. I believe the 68/32 split is based on current EV of each company...with a 6% premium being placed on TEL...yeah it's a takeover by AMAT, but when you merge management teams like they are planning on doing, it has less hostile intent.

Sad day, but Jim is 74, so not really unexpected. Good man and a stalwart in the semi cap equipment industry.

Worked for him a long time ago, and can not say enough about how great a leader, manager and man he is.
