Autodesk Is My CAD Play

Yes, I agree with ralphg and Deelip. This article is way off-base. Solidworks is much, much more than a minor competitor. I believe 3-D, particularily for product design, is reaching a critical point where the combination of computing power and software capabilities will make it impossible for companies to not switch over from AutoCAD to a 3-D design product.
The other comments regarding AutoDESK versus Adobe are just silly. Acrobat 3-d is very amazing and is an excellent add on capability to Acrobat, but it is NOT a design product. It's like comparing Chevorolet to John Deere and saying that Chevy is winning the pick-up truck business. BTW, Revit is much more than an architectural design product, as it does indeed have some PM capabilities.
I heard AutoDESK being trumped up the other day by BJ Hunnicutt on Fox news. What's up with the blitz?
