Please elaborate on the government role. Is it not true that Congress mandated Fanny and Freddie to elevate a whole segment of the American populace, who had been renters, primarily inner-city, to home-owner status via easier credit standards? And was not Barney Frank one of the leaders in this policy change? And did not Fannie at one point trumpet it's success in moving homeownership to all-time highs in its annual report, as I vaguely remember? Your historical perspective greatly appreciated!
