U have to understand the fact that FB and ZNGA has a contract that expires in 2015. Three years from now, anything could happen. It's up to themselves. I think they will still be cooperating in the future. The terms may not be the same as the old contract. Let's see who will gain some leverage when renewing the contract.
They do have problems. But they do have games on FB, Google+ and their own platform. The monetization is a problem for all social networks. A breakthrough is needed.
