  • Deutsche's U.S. team follows up on an overnight note from the firm's Japanese unit about iPhone production cuts by declaring Apple's (AAPL -2%) stock "has digested this supply chain issue and likely has lower unit production already priced in." Notable Calls is encouraged by this due to the track record of the analyst in question (presumably Chris Whitmore). Apple has bounced a little off its session lows. Cirrus Logic (CRUS -3.8%) and Skyworks (SWKS -2.9%) are faring worse. [View news story]
There is so much "gossip" about Apple, why believe of these research firms. How creditable are they ? They love to beat down Apple as they are very jealous, compare Apple profits to these other firms ! They are fearful of innovators, what new ideas have they come up with ...

  • 11 analysts have lowered their Apple (AAPL -0.4%) targets in recent weeks, Fortune observes. Many of them attributed their cuts (I, II) to reports of iPhone order reductions, but the recent drop in Apple shares is probably playing a role as well. Topeka's Brian White maintains the highest target ($1,111), and ACI Research's Ed Zabisky the lowest ($270). The average target is still at $740, 44% above current levels. [View news story]

  • Why I'm Not Buying Oil's Recent 'Correction' [View article]
You don't have a clue, take your charts and dump them. Petroleum is used everywhere, in products you have not even begun to imagine. The demand can only go up and the supply is finite. Think about it - no one has to buy a computer, but do you need plastic bag or insulated wire - just look around, if all plastic disappeared we would be back in the stone age
