  • Turns Out A Tesla Supercharger Costs 2 Or 3 Times What Elon Musk Said [View article]
04 is right, you had it backwards.

Tesla Motors Inc. said it would modify its battery-powered electric cars to meet China’s charging standards to allay concerns over its technology’s incompatibility in the country, where the company’s sales have fallen short of its expectations.

  • The Powerwall's Implication On The Electric Utility Industry [View article]
This is nothing new, Tesla has a lot of competition in this area.

Musk needs to concentrate on the slowing momentum of EV sales, instead
of creating a SCTY sister company.

  • Tesla Earnings: The Good And The Bad [View article]
Great overview, more balanced than most.

Tesla faces too many challenges to be an investment for me.
The competition seems to increase every day, and the moves
    Tesla makes seem more desperate.

Love the car, but not the business plan.

  • Tesla Short Interest Hits 13-Month High [View article]
Musk / Tesla entering into energy storage is not going to be easy, there is already competition there including BYD, Enphase Energy, Alevo, Sunverge, BMZ, NEC Energy Solutions, Johnson Controls, LG Chem, Samsung, Saft, GE and Mitsubishi .

I see this as a distraction move since Tesla is having increasing trouble competing with its EVs against Nissan, Renault, Ford, BMW, Audi, VW, GM, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, Honda, Porsche BYD and Mercedes.

I guess Tesla has to try something to keep stock price up for the inevitable secondary offering.

Moody's is reviewing the debt rating, and is very concerned over the
ballooning of debt. BLDR's current valuation is a tad optimistic.

  • Genius Of The Tesla 70D: Sell More Cars, Use Fewer Batteries [View article]
As time passes, there is less and less unique about Tesla. There are over two dozen EV manufacturers now. I think any advantage Tesla once held is fading quickly.

  • Tesla Bows To China Challenge With Market Reboot [View article]
Tesla is already outsold by Nissan, Mitsubishi and BYD EVs. With increasing competition, disappointing sales, BYD headed to US market and
the China debacle, I think momentum has been lost.

  • Tesla Asymmetry - Part 5 [View article]
Tesla has a great car and a horrible business plan. It continues to lose money and is now being outsold by Nissan, Mitsubishi and BYD EVs.

Musk's tweets and announcements seem to get more desperate with time as he attempts to prop up a valuation which can not be justified.

    Enjoyed your April Fools piece.

  • Pulling The Plug On Tesla [View article]
Tesla gave away very little by releasing patents, it was just another in a series of PR stunts. Major manufacturers already had their own programs in place.

" The process of disseminating their technological patents has since resulted in an increase in sales from other car manufacturers who produce electric vehicles."

Give one example of any manufacturer that has utilized a Tesla patent. EV's have been around over a hundred years, and Tesla isnt the first manufacturer.

Someone actually gets paid for this analysis?

Tesla needs to keep coming out with new projects to distract from the fact that they are not doing well against increasing competition. China saw that Emperor Musk has no clothes.

If its not going to need to be completed for five years why bother? It is either a safety issue or it isnt. With a five year timeframe, it wouldnt seem the FAA puts much emphasis on safety.
