      Citigroup's Flush
I'm with voice of reason. Maybe all those screaming for the sale of C stock are hoping to get in at the lower price? I didn't sell before, I'm not selling now. And I already have JPM.

      Why Bush Doesn't Like Cap-and-Trade
I've read that the carbon dioxide is protecting us from global warming... with reliable data to prove it, statements and documentation from scientists... personally, I've been around long enough to see warm winters and cold ones, hot summers and cool ones, wet and dry seasons year round, and I'd rather just not hear any more. If there IS global warming in the next 100 years, and if it does drastically affect life on earth, then I would think that given another 100 years, they should have a different place to live, or another method of protection. And if they don't, so be it. I already drive a small car, have dialed down to 65 deg. in the winter, don't have lights on all the time, don't use AC until it's over 90 deg., and could even be convinced to shower with a friend, MAYBE. Beyond that? Go fly a kite. Add a key.

Owning Too Many CEFs Is a Bad Thing
I'm beyond the 3-4% but not even close to the 33%, probably closer to 12%, and those dividends are still coming. I try to stay away from the financial CEFs since I have financial stocks for that, and those are floundering like all the rest. But the energy/utility field seems to be doing okay for CEFs and I don't mind the lack of capital appreciation if they're continuing the dividends. When the stop the dividend, I will sell half and buy something else. Most of what went down is already starting back up anyway (in my portfolio).

On Transport Strength and Commodity Weakness
There are buses that run on LNG, so I want to see them do it with cars. In the meantime, I like energy stocks, but I'm not ready for coal yet.

FDA Tobacco Bill Prevents Ban, Forces Them to Endorse It
Thought for the day: If all the smokers stopped smoking, who would cover the lost funds for the states and the feds?

Second thought for the day: If all the smokers stopped smoking and the tobacco companies went out of business, who would support all the people who are currently in that business?

Long VGR - dividends, sweet dividends!

Why You'll Be Using NBC/News Corp's Hulu Long After YouTube Fades
Hulu is terrific. YouTube is okay for personal content, but Hulu has them beat hands down for movies and tv. The commercials are short, and so far I've only seen one at each break. Beats having to find the next in a series by searching, just to complete a tv program on YouTube, and it beats having to get past the scratchy volume on YouTube when I can get the original soundtrack on Hulu.

I don't think 'fresh and edited' go together. "Edited" content is no longer fresh. Now it's used.

Why I'm Bullish on Natural Gas Stocks
Although I like the natural gas stocks, I have one rule - buy nothing that doesn't have a dividend. With the way stocks have shown a recent tendency to just nosedive - even strong companies - I want to know that they are thinking about ME, and paying ME as they go along. The value may be lower because of that dividend, but I get to reinvest as I choose. This one will be worth considering when it has a dividend. Otherwise, I already have a selection and will just add to them.

So if these gases are okay for buses, why are we not using them for cars? Or trucks, SUVs, etc.? If they are safe enough to use in a public transport vehicle, and if they are efficient enough to save money, what would make them inefficient for a private vehicle? Serious question here... why haven't we gone this way?

Interest Rates and the Mineral Bubble: The Hidden Parameter
If a rumor was whispered that the dollar was gaining, would the dollar, in fact, gain? The price of oil is going up, even though our reserves are also going up, as of today. So it can't be demand, and it proves that conservation may not change the price of oil. Are the profits being taken by the oil companies really that far out of whack with the profits taken by finance companies? Or the pay of baseball/football/bask... players? It's all garbage. And you aren't convincing me.
