Which Has a Better Risk/Reward Ratio - Citigroup or Cell Genesys?
I'm sticking with the bank(s). Drugs scare me - who knows how far down the road they'll discover some little thing that has very big repercussions? Sorry, but if Citi goes to 11, I'll cash in something else and just buy a bunch of Citi. And not that long ago, JPM was worth a whole lot less. And Bear was a whole lot more. But without the banks, who cares about the drugs?

      Why Yesterday's Optimism Wasn't Warranted
Gale, Bush's chance of staying in the white house is over soon. He doesn't have enough power to offset the term limits, and he doesn't have enough power for this. Politics doesn't have anything to do with this so get back to reality. Dump the Tahoe. You'll have more money to pay your mortgage...

      Wednesday Outlook: Bears Beware
What if enough people think everything is okay, start investing, and it becomes the way of the world? And what if that's what it takes to turn things around? Maybe, just maybe, we WILL be okay? And if not, at least we're facing things optimistically, which is much better than all of us shooting ourselves in the head.

Two of those that went down also just gave (very respectable) dividends within the last day or so. Perhaps more. Maybe the ones that haven't are close to an ex-date? Grain of salt, gang.

I was in before this happened and I'm still in, and am buying more. Ms. Whitney may be right, but I'm betting against her.

Meredith Whitney Threatens Severe Deflation For Your Portfolio
I've read some of Whitney's comments. I've seen BSC's ratings of other banks, and other bank's ratings of even more banks. And what I see is that as soon as those horrendous bad news comments are made, the sheep moan and groan and sell the stock. But if nothing was said, perhaps the drop wouldn't have been so steep, maybe it would have been a glitch, minor. Whitney isn't a God(dess). She doesn't know everything. She is doing no more than predicting, and anyone can be right some of the time. She just seems to be getting reactions because people WANT to believe that someone pretty and relatively young and FEMALE might know something all those dingy guys don't know. Well, I've got my salt ready. Grain, after grain, after grain. I'm keeping my financials.

Muni Bond ETF Yields Holding Steady
I have a bunch of the CEFs and am very happy with them. They've been looking pretty sad lately but are starting to turn around now. All the CEFs I have are still giving regular dividends, none have given capital yet (since I've had them) so I figure I'm still winning. I love them!

Better late than never? Oil didn't drop yet, and I still love the dividends. Of all the stocks I took a loss on this tax year, the trusts were not in the list. I also pick up pennies when I see them.
