This may be a stupid question, but what is the difference here between a unit holder and a share holder?

Quaero: That's What the EU Does With All That Microsoft Money?!
"The winners must be home grown, at any cost." Funny, that sounds SO like what I hear right here in Detroit. Shame on me for driving a (gasp!) TOYOTA, I should be driving an American car. Shame on anyone buying (GASP!) Walmart goods, they should buy American. Well, I was taught to buy value. That means price AND product, not location, not nationality. Who cares what EU is spending their money on? Or is this just another one of those, "They should buy American?" Personally, I'd rather sit back and wait to see if they have a quality product at a good price. Just like I did with my Toyota.

The Big Whoosh: Is This The Beginning?
I'm with you, curious. That was nice. Brought back good memories, and made me glad my kids had to grow up poor because they know how to act now. This too shall pass. And I'll keep chewing.

The Bailout's Pathetic - Here's Who To Blame
I guess I'm glad I'm not rich enough to afford to take out one of those sorry loans, or rich enough to buy so much stock that it hurts when they drop a dollar, or rich enough to have to hunt for another place for my money. I'm also glad I'm in America, where I can at least be rich enough to say I have no sympathy for the sorry slackers that took out the loans they knew they couldn't afford, and no sympathy for the sorry banks that gave them loans they knew could not be repaid. Now my only wish is that I was rich enough to move out of Michigan where the sorry governor thinks the answer to the financial problems of Michigan is to make them squeal louder when they get their paychecks, and then makes them grovel in pain when they pay their upwardly-assessed property taxes on their downwardly-assessed property. In the meantime, I'm going to search for some nice safe energy stocks for my nice IRS refund, and then I'm going to Walmart and then out for dinner on my nice little rebate. And when all this is over, my JPM will go back up, and my other financial stocks will go back up, and THEN I'll be rich enough to move out of Michigan.

Exxon Mobil Diversifies Into the Hybrid Car Market
The Tata Motors article is here: reviews.cnet.com/8301-...

I just might get one! If they can't make the fuel cell technology work where the car produces its own hydrogen from water - and they CAN do that but maybe it would be too expensive - then this would be next best. Although many would love to drive faster than it's proposed 96 mph, this is the USA and our top speed is 70? 75? For most of us, this would make a terrific vehicle. Something to look forward to. Why don't GM, Ford, and Chrysler come up with this stuff?

      Stocks: Risky, But Tempting
I've also decided it's time to jump back in, and if they go down a bit more, I'll go in a little deeper. I've seen most of these go through the last crunch, sweated it out, and came back even stronger. Stressful, yes. Exhilarating? Also YES. I'll even be able to retire someday. But will I quit getting my feet wet? Only when the well runs dry.

EarthLink: A Cash Flow Turnaround Story
No stock in the company but I am an Earthlink customer and they have always been very responsive to me when I've had an issue to resolve, even if I'm the one who caused the problem. Very polite tech assistants, and a survey to respond to when the service chat is done, make this an easy company to work with. Add that to a stock that seems to be doing okay, I may have to add to my portfolio!

      Bruce Berkowitz on Sears Holdings
Although Sears Holdings may be a very good stock, I once had Kmart and lost most of what I put in when it went bankrupt. This current downturn may be just another dip like the ones all the other stocks are facing but personally I'd rather not get into it. Once burned, and all that.
