  • 5 Initial Thoughts On The End Of Nokia As We Know It [View article]
    @dwdallam I originally bought it to make a profit but
    I was surprised how Nokia captured my heart. I always loved their products but all of you endeared me to it. Abu, Genesis Housing, Redrut, all the folks making comments, you are intelligent, analytical and damn interesting. I just don't think now that Nokia isn't making phones that the tone will be the same and will miss everyone's passion. Hey I am a Scorpio :)

    @Abu
    I have enjoyed your articles and have learned a lot. I have enjoyed the comments, negative or positive. I loved that most of us had I believe one common goal. To see Nokia make a comeback. When I read that Microsoft bought them out, I was not surprised as they had been in negotiations before. What I was saddest about was that I would miss waking up each day to read all the articles about Nokia's turnaround and all the comments afterwards. I want to say thank you to everyone and I want you all to know that you made me see investing in a heartfelt way. I will miss all of you. I am still long Nokia but my heart is not in it. I do believe that this was planned from the start and now that they see W8 has a chance, they have to capture North America and streamline their apps and platform, they need to integrate the companies so they are on the same page. Again thank you Abu and all.

    We now have collector's items with our Lumia phones that have Nokia written on the top left corner :) I will buy shares in Microsoft as I still believe in the WP8 and Lumia. With Nokia having positive cash on its balance sheet I see the sentiment has turned around with Bernstein and others.

    Do you think Don went to Zynga because MS knew they were going to do this after they saw the WP platform working, apps coming?

    Thank you for the information you provided. I am the person that buys the Charlie Brown Tree and feel that way about Nokia Stock.
    We also buy properties that no one would touch and with a little imagination, some elbow grease and a vision we have been extremely successful. I see Nokia this way too, a stock that no one wants to touch. They now have someone at the helm that has imagination, a vision and elbow grease and I believe this is turning Nokia around. Lumia series has not been out for very long and the 1020 has only been out since July. With the photos coming out in National Geographic from a world renown nature photographer, I believe that the United States will at least be curious enough to go and start asking about these phones, but time will tell and Lumia is still in it's infancy stage. @Andres, did you start your own Comedy show? Your constant negative responses seem to be humoring everyone.

    No not trying at all. Didn't like anything about it, it's not that it is complicated. I have no use for it, I don't download music and don't use apps. So if there is a use for it, I have not found one.
