DivX Disappointment Offers Tremendous Opportunity

I am unsure about the future of DivX. There are much better codecs out there, such as mp4 and the H264, which has been adopted by Apple for its iPod and similar gadgedts. Digital TV is currently based on the mpeg standards, and I believe other projects such as Joost have their own proprietary codecs with DRM. So, definitely, DivX, though well spread, has probably little chances of growing neither in the small gadget sector, nor in the home entertainment one.
