the issue for me is were the bid prices greater than prems,if so the board has done damage to shareholders, now enduring years more of waiting.

  • BlackBerry: Strong Buy On Buyout Collapse [View article]
prem already knows the buyout value from the cpl of other bidders not named lenovo.scully, qcom etc.theres money for him to be made.the process was corrupt from the beginning, the offer that wasnt ,the fishing expedition, and the farce of the lenovo bid.canada would never let bbry fall into their hands, wait and see what next year brings.there will be a lot of surprise.

  • BlackBerry: Strong Buy On Buyout Collapse [View article]
the thing here is that the parts are worth more than the going/slumping concern.the other thing here is the car is wrecked breaking it more makes it possible to buy itself with watsa not needing to ad cash..this co cannot function as a publicly traded co,watsa knows it as did all the investment bankers he met with.

  • BlackBerry: Strong Buy On Buyout Collapse [View article]
Ok guys, what I think is happening is the beginning of a Watsa takeunder.Pardon the paranoia but follow me here.I bet there were bids and that they wer likely under 9 but a lt higher than 6.50.Prem who has been calling the shots for a while now did not like the bid.Instead he does this deal yesterday and knows the outcome, remember he talked to a lot of lbo and investment banking firms. He know that earnings as wellas Blackberrys conditions on the ground are deteriating but has valuable.By the first of the year this baby will be trading under 4,i cant imagine Chen being able to give guidance beyond a rah rah speech. One this goes under 4 Prem will buy the co with co cash and it goes private ,he than without wall st scrutiny can sell the assets likey for about where the stock is now and he never had to put his hands in his pockets.Current shareholders will never see the benifits.

  • Who Would Buy BlackBerry? Why? [View article]
Whats changed is that the enterprise itself is going down and with that the last positive perception, also not helping any deal was the screwing that prem and thor gave shareholders by giving each other a golden parachutte

  • BlackBerry's 'Strategic Alternatives': There Is More Than Hope [View article]
Well written and well explained, but here the omission, theres no way the street could account for the accellarated rate of drops in the enterprise side, easy example the news from Morgan Stanley delay in upgrading or renewel,im assuming that analysts had this in their earnings models,so the floor in the stock is not very solid now.

  • Speculations On BlackBerry Make It Hard To Breathe: Time For A 6-K Reality Check [View article]
The co mgt has done a horrific job in the publicity war.Even here on Seeking Alpha run pro vs con but really black and white stuff. My own assessment is that the consumer has abandoned blackberry, and the co should refocus to its real core business.Having said that the longer this stays public the more damaging to shareholders.
