The end of HD-DVD is just another in a long list of failures for this poorly managed company, which seems to make all of its decisions while looking in the rearview mirror. Microsoft should get out of the hardware business.

DivX Disappointment Offers Tremendous Opportunity

I bought the DivX software and immediately asked for my money back. It provides a poor quality picture and will struggle to find adopters. I'd avoid this one, hard to see what advantage it has over other proprietary codecs.
