Freddie Mac CEO: Home Price Drops Only 1/3 Done
I agree that multifamily housing will play a much larger role in future residence arrangements. My quality of renters are way up and the pool is larger due to (finally) realistic stips on loans. Liar loans are, for the most part, history. I have a waiting list of rental clients.

Look for the global warming whackos to jump on the multifamily bandwagon as being in the earth's best interest. Even better for guys like me!

The New York Times Had Better Change
Presenting objective news instead of a constant drumbeat of far left agendas written by articulate journalists trapped in their political straight-jackets would be a good start for both papers.

People will probably support print media that is fair, balanced and that identifies and separates entertainment, editorial content and hard news.

"Pinky" Sulzberger needs to take a very long vacation.

Play Defense With iShares US Aerospace & Defense ETF
The SPADE Defense Index is excellent. I wrote on the Powershares ETF -PPA- in my blog last week. I own companies in both ETFs for my Permanent and Speculative Portfolios. For the average investor, the IShares offers a conservative, yet profitable choice in this sector.

Switzerland ETF Getting Ready to Rebound
      Good points above.

      Points:
The international companies that make up the majority of the ETF are of interest to me as they are out of favor and represent good buying opportunities in total. Being based in Switzerland gives these companies an international political advantage, imo, for enhanced business opportunities. Currency speculation is not a reason to consider this ETF. The EU and US may not be as close a link to EWL in the future due to increasingly anti-growth and isolationist political schemes. Switzerland's long standing reputation for a safe haven dwarfs Singapore and Dubai. Longevity counts, as does geographical and political safety.

There are a few ways to play the Swiss company theme. EWL has the ingredients to be an anchor, steadying your investment vessel in turbulent seas. We all know that it is not a get rich quick investment, and probably not the place to be overweight in a bull market environment.
