  • Deep Value In Arena's Pipeline [View article]
I applaud the brilliance of a long investor who treats other long investors with the respect they deserve. Excellent article for a former short trader who suddenly sees the grand vistas of Arena future in the hands of big pharma! It is game-over for the short case for reasons I will eventually explain to readers who follow my much deeper research. Stay tuned!

Indeed, I'm reminded by you to remind each reader to pass this information along on other sites and chat boards. The more this information goes out, the better.

Mr. Osborne, In a way I feel sorry for you, but I know you won't understand that. As it stands, we'll end today's conversation here as I only can hope that in time you'll come to understand that the way we will be remembered is the way we treated others. Hurting others is a high price to pay. Take care.

Mr. Osborne, My use of literary flare harkens back to those early courses in writing where one was taught to begin an article with a 'hook' -- I thank you for highlighting my literary talent.

As an observation, you seem to make a lot of assumptions about what I know or don't know (e.g. Why SA has chosen not to publish my articles, and now, presentation information). Quite honestly, I'm finding your care for me at once touching and a bit overwhelmingly. Bless your heart!

Mr. Osborne, I thought about deleting the above comment from you, but instead preferred to allow my readers to see how you chide me.

In simple truth, my instablogs stand on their own and I allow my readers to determine their value. Quite honestly, I prefer to walk the higher road then engage in verbal futility.

Yale, I'd imagine Mr. Osborne simply doesn't like that I discovered a recent document direct from Eisai that lays out their own projections. I mean, Who would you trust? CS?-No. A hockey stick?-No. Myself, I'll go with the company that licensed Belviq for the Americas. There's a lot of detail here in my report and I guess it just gets Mr. Osborne that I'm a better researcher and a true long.

Yossi is also correct that Arena is licensing elsewhere so there is reason to understand why Belviq is projected to be a block-buster drug once you compile on the rest of the world.

Mr. Osborne, with all due respect, I'm presenting to readers August 2013 in print information direct from Eisai. As it stands, Eisai is on record and the debate about their projection is over. I've supplied the information and used the ~ sign throughout my article to reflect I was extrapolating from Yen to Dollar using a fairly tough chart to read; try to be nice.

You of all people should be writing me a thank you letter. Cheers!

Mr. Osborne makes me laugh quite honestly and I state that with a warm smile. He assumes a lot and knows even less. I won't cast any disparaging comments in SA's direction. I was only stating for viewers to know that SA has chosen not to publish my articles. Mr. Osborne's repeated diatribes are nothing short of comical. Hopefully my instablogs add value.

Thank you. My goal is to write objective based articles honed by the facts. For now, we can study weeks 0-14 and see for ourselves how Belviq is doing. We can also track the progress that Eisai is making and draw our own conclusions.

Mr. Osborne, Kind of you but I need no convincing about where you derived $150M as I months ago verified what you are stating now. That's old news. Likewise it was good of you to abandon that linear model since, When does that [straight line] ever happen in the biotech space on the launch of a new drug? Of course reading your own dilemma about the hockey stick model I most certainly concur since steep can only be as steep as steep can be and any steeper than steep becomes basically straight up. In my case, I just happen to think that: (1) Eisai is executing, and (2) that Belviq sales are steadily increasing and will move exponentially into Q4 2013. Of course, that history is yet to be written.

  • Arena's Belviq Sales Week 14: Back On Track? [View article]
Mr. Osborne, Everyone has their own investment style so there's no criticism coming from me, just observation. You obviously follow the charts and maybe use targets which is all well and good. More styled to the day-trader who buys and sells not according to time per se, but targets. Perhaps this is why you yourself note that your own articles are more geared for day-traders. Anyway, you just use a shorter time horizon than maybe others who hold for the long haul. Whatever. Now at least I know why you don't think Arena is a strong buy.

What seems common from what I observe is how investors always seem to think a given company should be run and all well and good but reality is reality for Arena-Eisai: they are who they are with weaknesses and strengths. My opinion is I like how Eisai has rolled out Belviq and recently reading that direct marketing is starting and that Eisai now projects 50% insurance coverage in the first year I view as positives.

Since I don't believe the market values anything according to its true value the current situation is less a conspiracy then deep pockets waiting for that time when either the positives or negatives outweigh the other. Ain't life grand?
