  • Shell facing $18B cash flow deficit in 2015-16, Oppenheimer analyst says [View news story]
That's an absurd projection, consensus on my bloomberg screen has them earnings positive $11 billion FCF 2015-2016. $2.4 billion in 2015 and $9.15 billion in 2016.

  • Leucadia National Corp.: Where Value Investors Can Still Find Good Opportunity In This Inflated Market [View article]
Not sure if serious here... Icahn in his investor presentation for IEP compares his performance with LUK and BRK. But you're probably right, Icahn has yet to discover LUK.

"All told then, LUK seems like it ought to be a great bargain at today's prices, but the problem is that investors seem to lack confidence in the permanence of the firm's earnings."

Not really sure how your shitty articles keep making pro status lol. Earnings for companies like BRK, MKL, IEP, LUK, L are of much less significance than book value growth over time. Cummings/Steinberg grew book value by 18.2% annually from 1979-2012... which completely decimated the S&P500 of 11%... but of course you want to cherry pick a few years of poor performance. Classic Rogers... sell the bargains and buy the premium priced stocks.. your investment style should make for a better track record than the boys at Leucadia!!

Not sure how your description says you believe in value and you can't see the value in the Tisch holding corp. Still trades well below book and the SOTP worth ~$52/shr. Clearly you are a momentum investor pretending to be a value investor.
