  • California's House Sales Continue Strong Growth [View article]
    Sales volume is marginally up.... Due to a flood of foreclosures. I'm tired of reading the stats, but I believe it was in excess of 50% foreclosures that have buffered the sales volume. I'm not sure how that can necessarily be considered a good thing.

    meanwhile, prices are still dropping and millions of Americans not only have lost a tremendous amount of equity, but are also on verge of foreclosure.

    Meanwhile, homebuilders in the Sacramento area (as all others) are doing anything they can to push **their** unsold homes. I just read an ad in the Sacramento Bee advertising a 'Guaranteed Low Fixed Rate'... Of less than 5% (If I recall correctly) ...

    Then there was the large homebuilder that crowed 'Now we can get back to building!' after the bank bailout..... Talk about clueless!

    And we have finally owned up to the Recession.... Even 'Dubya' finally gets it.. Course, as he put it: 'We seem to be in a recession is nome areas'..... Yeah... Right!... Day Late-Dollar Short-Dubya!

    I could go on about the State's finances, commercial vacancies, businesses giving it up and auto dealers... etc... etc... etc...

    There still is no good news in the Sacramento area!
