October ends on a bad note for stocks, as today wiped out what would have been a gain for the DJIA; for the month: the Dow flat; S&P 500 down 2% (its first down month in eight); Nasdaq down 3.6%.

This is useless analysis... how could you so badly time the market so that you somehow miss just the "best days"?? easy: you can't

I saw this disaster coming and cashed out a year ago. 90% Cash. I then shorted(SRS and SKF) in December and bought GLD. I sold last week for a great profit. I missed some upside but I am now 90% cash again and will wait until the Dow is 10K
