  • Gold Is Not in a Bull Market [View article]
a lot of people get out of their shell when we talk about gold . What I really get from this article is don t buy gold but instead buy the miners
since that with gold at 800$ they still make a lot of money. Instead of buying GLD buy GDX is the conclusion of this interview . Now it s up to each individual to do his/her homework and decide what they want to do . We can agree or disagree with the author(s) but at the end it s your money and only you can decide what you want to do with it .

  • Big Banks in Trouble: Huge Mortgage Write-Downs Seem Inevitable [View article]
Milkweed read Gill s comment, I am behind it 100%. We just walked away of our house and the result is : a rent of 700$ instead of a mortgage payment of 1250$. Lots of houses for rent and cheap .
A smaller home but at least the fridge isn t empty like it was a couple months ago. You can t eat a house and with a family of 5 one must do what s best for his family. I bet you Milkweed lives a free stress life.

  • Why Gold Is Losing Its Shine [View article]
if it was April 1st I would say April Fool but we are in May. Is this living on another planet ? Well if you want to make a name for yourself you did but not the way you think . But I really think he wants us to believe it with a purpose in mind that is the contrary of our interest.

  • The Global Oil Scam: 50 Times Bigger than Madoff [View article]
agree 100% with jetliner and only partially with Gigmaster. Capitalism was at first supposed to be opportunities for everyone, but became what it is today. Maybe it was what you think today in your first life but please Gigmaster wake up because it ain t that today. Capitalism ,today , means a few millionaires and billionaires at the expense of the low class .

  • Why Choose Low Yield over High Yield Stocks? [View article]
The eternal debate which in my view (I share the author s view) is not one which yielding stocks to buy. Buy JNJ , EMR , ABT when they become value stocks . A good example of that is ABT right now . If you don t buy it now you will never buy it for all the reasons you want.
Buy the stocks on dividends4life s list when they are at a deep discount . You may have to wait a long time but the reward is huge. I always wanted to buy ABT and now that s what I am doing. I did the same thing with JNJ and now I am patiently waiting for EMR to come down. TY dividends4life for your help ,

  • Gold Stocks Slide as USD Index Strengthens – Should You Be Concerned? [View article]
...and what is the only possible way to pay back an immense debt ?
Actually there are 2 ways, declare bankruptcy or devaluation of the currency . We should all know what happened in the past , isn t it ?
If you don t learn from the past you deserve where you are now .
Protect yourself from what is coming .

what kind of disclosure is that ? the company may (or may not) hold positions in the ETFs mentioned above , What a joke ! I do agree with some of his analysis but I would not put my trust in somebody that is not capable of doing a proper disclosure.

  • On Oil Prices and Barron's Bullishness [View article]
well good luck to all of those that make predictions on the price of oil in the future. That means they can also predict what will happen with Iraq , Iran , North Korea , the weather , the currencies ( particularly the US $ ) , the econmy etc...Wow I would love to have your crystal ball. Since I don t have your crystal ball I am going to take a chance and make 2 predictions:
    - oil will go lower
    - oil will go higher
I had never thought before that I would be that smart one day.

  • 17 Stocks for the Three Major Categories of Dividend Investing [View article]
agree that J&j was paying 3% 20 years ago or so and still pay 3% today but you forget something . When I bought it 20 years ago it was 30$ with a yield of 3% and today it s still 3% but 3% on 60$ . So as you can see that 3% 20 years ago is really 6% today if I am right . Am I wrong ?

  • Banking Sector: Worst Is Yet to Come [View article]
long term we are in big trouble, agree, but short term who wants to fight the fed ? the trend is your friend as they say , enjoy it while you can and be ready to get out. I have a stop loss on each financial I own and keep raising it when the opportunity presents itself . How long is it going to last nobody knows in the very short term. Is this investing or gambling ? a combination of both but I play this game with the financials only with the money I can afford to lose. I am not putting my future or my family s future in the hands of those CEOs that can t control their institutions .

  • Big Banks in Trouble: Huge Mortgage Write-Downs Seem Inevitable [View article]
Milkweed is a dreamer, wake up , open your eyes and if you still think we are at the end of this real estate cycle you are joking yourself. In a year from now we ll hear the same individual singing the same song and it s going to be even worse than today. Plus I am not talking about investment I am just talking about a roof you can afford. When one loses his job you may be able to keep what you have but when your spouse is sick on top of that you don t think about yourself any more . The real question is what s best for the kids. Buoy Iam glad we are not all brainless like you are, that s all Ihave to say about you.
