Also I do not put any money at work before I reread all your articles that I preciously kept. Thanks a lot for your help Richard . One stock , that you mention few times , that I keep hesitating before I pull the trigger is PAYX . I kind of like it, have been watching for some time now but I need more convincing . But I do own some of the stocks you have on your list here. Also AFL looks temting but I am so afraid of that sector. Could you elaborate a little more on those 2 stocks? Many thanks again...

I never thought we would be able to grab DEO at less than 50$ and here it is. At this price ,if you don t buy it you ll never buy it . Tell me what s not to like with this company! The eternal bears will of course find reasons to dislike it. All depends if you are buying it for a fast trade or for a long term investment. I am not a day trader so I am buying it without of course of betting the house on it.

A Buy & Hold Forever Dividend Stock Portfolio

makes a lot of sense to me.I own both ,stocks to buy and hold for the long term ( dividends higher than the average) and trading stocks to take advantage of the highs and the lows offered to us occasionally. Nothing wrong with those 2 styles of investing. To avoid the stories like GM why don t you use stop losses on all your buy and hold stocks? Also always keep in touch with the performance and news of your buy and hold. Buy and hold doesn t mean to ignore it completely forever, stay alert and be ready to make some changes if necessary.

can t agree more with sharksm,sounds like a smart investor to me. I repeat INVESTOR, not a day trader or some sort of a gambler running after everything that is hot at the time to invest. I also own great companies like JNJ, PG ,GE ,HD , T ,VOD, DEO ,WFC ,ACN ,PAYX ,except that they are not stocks du jour but I am sure that they will have their days, just to be patient ,disciplined. Successful investors have a plan and stick to it.
