    Interesting comparison of Monsanto with botechs. I remember Monsanto originally a chemical company had a drug division called Searle. Monsanto then acquired a swedish company called Pharmacia - combined it with Searle and spun the seed/chemical business off as "monsanto". Pharmacia itself was swallowed up by Pfizer.
    As Monsanto keeps increasing its expertise in biotech - it could easily get into drug biotech and come a full circle.
