David A. Pereira has an MBA in Finance, a law degree and is a licensed real estate broker for approximately 30 years (although does not sell real estate today). He was the CEO of a major California mortgage lender from 1981 until 1995, which included a major loan servicing operation. He is past President of the California Trustees Association, served as a member of the California Department of Real Estate’s Finance Advisory Commission (under Real Estate Commissioner Clark Wallace) and served on the Board of Directors of the California Independent Mortgage Brokers Association and the California Trust Deed Brokers Association. He has routinely testified as an expert in mortgage and real estate court cases and is considered a court qualified expert in mortgage finance. More recently, he was the Contract Dispute Manager for a major top ten nationwide bank before coming on to the team at the Law Offices of Kimberlee Rode leading the mortgage litigation team to deal with the current real estate and mortgage crisis. He is considered a leading expert in Truth In Lending litigation, specifically rescission based remedies.
