  • Construct a Fixed Income Portfolio with 5%+ Dividends Using ETFs [View article]
Very few who would follow the commendable rigor of 'trick's' research are going to be impressed by the 'convenience' of an ETF or even a CEF.

  • Bogle: Investors 'Getting Killed' in ETFs [View article]
Much rubbish here on ETF's. A dozen blind men 'analyzing' an elephant from trunk to tail based solely on where they stand. Some even have , apparently, their heads in dark places. Those indexes yielding investment appropriate to limited knowledge and resources as part of a comprehensive plan better serve them in the ETF than the comparable open ended mutual fund. The other ETF's stand or fall based on their particulaities as they are clearly explicated and available to a degree never approached in investing history. • iShares ETF Tracking Error: Risks and Explanations [View article]
You can call it anything but such 'error' is hedging. I don't buy an index to have the 'consolidator' hedge for me. That is for the same reason I don't buy foreign securities or the same indirectly from the consolidator if they hedge currency.
