many solar companies are making money already and seem to be trading on extremely low multiples to earnings? it is my opinion that the need for solar is so great(global warming) that whatever is manufactured gets deployed. the analysis consistently leaves out global warming. global warming by fossil fuels is real. so which solars do we buy now? fslr, spwr, and which other stocks? ldk? stp? csiq? sol? solf? eslr? wfr?

does the sell off in solar exacerbated by the rise of mccain in the polls. lets face it a democratic administration would throw more money at solar than oil......drill drill drill. this must be a disappointment to investors in solar.

forget about alternatives as economically competitive. global warming threatens life as we know it. this is a major driving force for alternative energy. carbon based energies should be phased out in ten years according to al gore. what happens if this comes true? could be an even bigger rally. long ener, spwr, sol, solf, stp, eslr, csiq, tsl, ctdc, asti, asys, also china xing.

i plan to make alot of money in solar and alternative energy stocks over the next few years. things are rocky now but as earnings are released the picture gets brighter. i have a hard time buying fslr. stp seems like a good fit they have thin film coming at parity to the grid. but merrill can not forecast anything that hasnt already happened. fslr is owned by the walton family. i wonder if this is why it is always recommended. the brokerages want those fees.

i am a seller of fslr and i am not long spwr. i like the chinese names they will own the industry. they are the cheapest producers. but wall street recommends the names that are building the farms. with mandates the residential user will be able to afford installations. but this is not what your local utitlity or bank wants. supershort....global warming is real which is why governments like norway are paying big bucks to sequester carbon under the north sea. you have to believe the u s govrnment is falling in line with carbon controls to like these stocks and i see that the u s government is. after bush. stocks i own with hedges are stp, ldk, sol, eslr, csiq and solf. owned ener . also look into ctdc. they are next to get a play

this guy has better ideas than merrill. those recommending fslr are tied to big industry interest groups and are not promoting any company that sells products giving the end user energy independence. because they finance utilities that need to sell electricity. beware of the propaganda from the likes of merrill and citibank.

dont worry about governments ending tax subsidies for solar. this is a life or survival question. global warming is real and governments everywhere are building out clean energy technologies. ultimately oil will be used primarily only for the military. solar is a mega rend. increased efficiencies in solar also come from economies of scale. the thin film industry is already achieving 20% conversion. and ascent solar just received a grant from the airforce to work towards this same conversion rate. they are creating a double thin film. anyone with doubts needs to imagine the needs the world is facing.
