  • Pending Home Sales: Do Real Estate Statistics Mean Anything Anymore? [View article]
I am losing faith in the systems as a whole, as I recently heard that Banks are asking Realtors to place listed homes as "Sale Pending" even though no offer has been accepted, the attempt is to camouflag stagnant inventory and help keep prices artificially inflated.
I am certain prices would have fallen much further if the rules had not been changed to allow banks to keep so much inventory and had the prices been allowed to justly correct, I would been in a home already and not sitting on the sidelines waiting for prices to fall to where they should rightfully be had this whole mess not been allowed to happen in the first place.
Make no mistake, prices ARE still higher than they should be and will continue to fall.
There will be no stablization in prices until there are more jobs, and that isn't happening in the near future.
