  • Apple's Revolutionary Move Into Robotic Manufacturing [View article]
A US robotics company that might be of interest is Adept Technology
(ADEP). Even though it is a micro cap, their IP is interesting as is the range of products. PHG's decision to use ADEP's technology for their consumer electronics assembly plant is somewhat of a validation of their technical expertise.
Their weakness appears to be that the company has been run for many years as an "engineers toy store". Supposedly that is now changing.

  • Kandi Technologies: An Intelligent Vehicle Electrification Plan [View article]
"Better Place" appears to have adopted a similar battery leasing model- No reason that higher tech (if economic) batteries could not be substituted for the lead acid batteries.

I have an indirect investment in "Better Place" via Israel Corp (30% of Better Place)

Its still very early in the game
    Your thoughts?

  • How Blogging Is Like Being Bad at Math [View article]
    Very insightful note.

Once one sorts through the blogosphere and accumulates a number of "very worthwhile" sources with different perspectives (the most important part of the selection) on issues that one considers important, then one might be fortunate enough to acquire both perspective and some knowledge in depth on the issues.

On most economic and investment issues it is easier to obtain
both an overview and an in-depth analysis of issues from the blogosphere then from most of the financial press.

An added benefit of the blogs are the links to other "filtered" sources. Generally if someone is writing something that one considers intelligent the writer is also reading and linking with other intelligent sources.

How this will play out economically versus the financial press is at this time unknown but it will have an impact.

    Have you considered?
1- As the price of gold increases the economics of removing gold from sea water becomes
2- Subsea mining of gold re the seamounts and gold linked to subsea (on the surface of the ocean bed) copper also becomes economically justifiable.
