I understand your point, but XBOX being "the best online console to date", is at best an opinion. The whole point of your article is to show how free online gaming is the way of the future, yet to play XBOX online you have to pay a monthly fee of $9.95. Playstation's online servers are free, but that comes at a price: quality. XBOX doesn't have the lag that Playstation does because of the $9.95 charge. Playstation has better games for online play (my opinion), and I wouldn't mind paying $9.95 a month for no lag on the server. I think your article is true for the PC, but as a gaming enthusiast, I believe that online gaming for XBOX and Playstation; for the sake of game play, is better when paid for. Pure game play is essential in online gaming.
