High Paid CEOs: Are Shareholders Getting Their Money's Worth?

It is obvious after reading this article that the lessons of Enron, WorldCom, et al has been lost on the corporate executives in this country. My book, "Final Audit," a mystery about corporate corruption and executive avarice published in September 2006, addressed the exact problem that Mr. Kaplan pointed out in this article.

Though presented in an entertaining way the story is 'real' in its concept. The CEO's Mr. Kaplan highlighted could be substituted for the characters in my novel.

Something must be done to these corporate criminals or this type of greed will continue and bring down this great country.
