  • Russia may ban car imports if West imposes new sanctions [View news story]
Poor Russia. Almost 100 years of revolution after revolution and they still can't get it right- while managing to shoot themselves in the foot. For all their triumphs in the arts and sciences...

  • Sirius XM Continues To Beat Apple, Pandora, And Google Into Earnings [View article]
For a Siri customer they pay about $10-$15 a month for their satellite service. For a cellular customer it's anywhere from $40-$100 plus a month for their cell service and doesn't account for whatever subscription fees paid for spotify et al. Most people buy blocks of data and overages are expensive. Streaming music is devastating to data.
So I have a hard time buying the argument that Siri is going to lose to these online audio streamers.

  • Tesla Motors - Executing According To Plan [View article]

  • Facebook Has Blowout Q3, But Call Spooks Investors [View article]
Young users are over valued, and I would question the surveys that claim teens purchasing power is in the hundreds of billions of dollars, that is unless they are printing their own money. With employment rates among teens hovering between 7 and 16%, it becomes obvious that they are not a crucial factor in the current economy. And are over rated where FB is concerned.

  • Apple, Google top list of most valuable brands [View news story]
I was just talking with my wife last night about how useless google searches are becoming. What I mean by that is their returns on searches are becoming less useful for me. Not sure why though. It's starting to frustrate, and Bing is just completely annoying.

  • State Of Innovation In The Auto Industry And The Allure Of Tesla [View article]
I bought at $20 and sold at plus $100. Right now Tesla is a bomb as opposed to the bomb. Wait for a healthy drop then get back in. Zombies are buying this stock, with other peoples money. Watch out!

  • Facebook: Soon To Be A Shell Of Its Former Self, Like AOL [View article]
I'm always amazed when people make the argument that young people (under 18 crowed) have migrated towards other social network site, and somehow this is bad for FB. Number one, FB was never intended for an under 18 crowed. They have zero real purchasing power. As incomes remain stagnant across 99% of the work force while the cost of living increases, more adults are working second jobs that historically were the realm of teen workers, just to make ends meet.
Number two, the under 18 crowed hasn't gone anywhere. They haven't stopped using FB. They've simply added more social networking sites to their plate. Which means they've mostly just split their time between the various sites. Anyway, I'm long FB. Cheers!

  • Bank Of America Is Too Big To Fail ... As It Should Be [View article]
As any knuckle head will tell you, the banks championed the changes in laws that allowed this mess to begin with. It should further be noted that any bank that runs to the government demanding rescue from the tax payers is no champion of the Free Market. They are in fact champions of socialism. Kind of weird.
