  • Research In Motion - Possible $43 Stock Price In 12 Months? [View article]
I just looking forward to the launch of the BB10 and enjoying all the chatter about RIMM as I sit here with the Playbook in hand. Oh I bought in underneath 7.00 / share. If you want to become more educated on the potential of the new OS vista N4BB .com

  • Claiming its BlackBerrys "have been failing both at inopportune times and at an unacceptable rate," the NTSB says it looking to abandon Research In Motion's (RIMM) hardware for iPhones (AAPL). That makes the NTSB the latest in a string of government organizations to either fully end its BlackBerry use or give employees the option to use alternatives. RIM, which just received FIPS 140-2 security clearance for BlackBerry 10, says it has 1M government customers in North America. [View news story]
Hope the NTSB doesnt need a reliable map or a backup battery in the event of a disaster.

The NTSB might decide to approve only the BB10 when the realize it potential as a secure, reliable BYOB, FIPS approved device. Don't go running out to get the iphone just yet.

NTSB also reported that employees will have a choice of BYOB devices. I would think security would warrant some limits on what devices they would approve.

  • Analysts gave a cool response to RIM's (RIMM +3%) Jan. 30 BlackBerry 10 launch event announcement. With RIM only saying it will provide details about the availability of the first BB10 smartphones at the event, Raymond James thinks (like Jefferies) the phones won't arrive until March. Evercore is worried RIM's "existing phone sales could fall of even more" as customers await BB10 devices. Reviewing BB10's features, SA's J.M. Manness is only impressed by BlackBerry Balance, which splits up a phone into work and personal halves. [View news story]
RIMM only up 3.6% on news that more news would soon be released, and it comes on a day that many are observing as a holiday. Most informed followers of the product, not the stock have been expecting a March launch anyway. That's a decent response on a day with low activity in my opinion. Remember RIMM has other markets other than just the US.

  • RIM's New Handset - Why I Am Skeptical [View article]
Nothing ever stays the same and you must accept change. Dont be affraid to embrace RIMM and the new QNX OS you wont be disappointed.

“Whether you are using our all-touch product or our physical keyboard device, you will have the best keyboard, period,” RIM’s CMO, Frank Boulben, told ABC News in September. Boulben said that the new software will make competitors like Apple and Google look outdated.

  • "We believe [BlackBerry 10] is likely to be DOA," asserts Pac Crest's James Faucette, whose bearish remarks are contributing to today's selloff in Research In Motion (RIMM -7.5%). BB10's unfamiliar UI and dearth of apps will hurt its appeal, thinks Faucette, who also issued a very bearish report on RIM in September. [View news story]
I don't day trade with my smart phone purchases or analysis of stocks. If you were tech savy you would have a different attitude but your focused on making a fast buck.

  • Will Apple Sink On Tepid Response To iPhone 5? [View article]
You take the time to mention the the lack of NFC with the iphone 5 and mention the names of all the other devices on the market that support NFC but fail to mention the BlackBerry but you do point out the negative news about RIMM. It's obvious this is a matter of pride with both of us. However it would be nice if the people we trust to bring us unbiased news could do just that. I ask you to read up on the BB10 and try to look accept the fact that it's truly a Revolutionary product for the industry just like the original BlackBerry was back in 1999.

  • BlackBerry 10: RIM's Final Bet [View article]
"RIMM will have to woo the market like Apple did" and we all know Apple failed too......right ? Of course nothing could replace the iPhone right? That would be impossible.
