Boeing say that the 767 is 28% more fuel efficient than the A330.

Boeing say that the 787 is 20% more fuel efficient than the A330.

Why then are they spending a fortune on developing the 787?

Boeing's Dreamliner Delays Will Cost Them

The 767 tanker delivery is three years behind schedule; before that the 747-400 was 18 months late and that wasn't even a new design. Many of the engineers working on the 787 should already have move onto the development of the 747-8, so how long is that going to be delayed? Can anyone believe a word that comes out of Boeing?
