Bullish on Telcos
Internet surfing from the phone is proving a flop and people are talking all they want to, texting all they want to and paying a fixed price. Competition is huge, moving operators easy (since the number migration law)..
Technicals isn't everything.. it shows the past, not future.
Cheers.
MEMC's Whiff and Plunge: Snakebit Quarter
There is some good news for me though, since I'm down so much on the stock, (20% in the past year) I feel no urge to sell it. The sector is promising, the CEO will probably get canned and I'll wait around for the stock to pick up again.
With the P/E of a donut shop, things can only get better.
Wall Street Breakfast: Must-Know News
Beyond the numbers, there isn't much surprise.. this company is consistently driving forward in a field where it has no competition.
Robotic surgery is here to stay, as I plan to stay with this stock for years to come.
You go girl!
Apple’s Uncharacteristically Sloppy Execution
I think a lot of private investors gobbled up the discount stock awaiting the rebound back to $200.
I totally believe Apple will return to and break the $200 mark. Everything about the company looks great and recession or not, one just has to pop into the Apple store on 5th avenue NY and see the complete mayhem of shoppers cramming in endless lines to get the new AirBook.. have you seen it, by the way?
I definitely want to own stock in a company that produces that kind of machine.

Some Energy Stocks Burn Brighter Than Others
"Total's recent move in withdrawal from phase 11 of the South Pars is a completely political move and not a commercial one," Nozari said.
The French firm's chief Christophe de Margerie said in an interview published Thursday that it was too politically risky to invest in Iran at present.
Western governments have pressured firms to cut their ties with Iran over the country's controversial nuclear program that world powers fear could be aimed at seeking atomic weapons.
If a giant like Total fina is pulling out of Iran, they must be under great political pressure to do so - gas will keep going up!

Apple: Justice Case Closed, iPhone Cracked Open
First they said - it never happened.
Then they said - well, if it did happen, we are sorry.
Then they said - If we're sorry and it isn't enough, we'll do what has to be domne to rectify.
Look at Koby Alexander from Comverse... that idiot went egotistic on the SEC and is now hiding in Nigeria, waiting to be extradited to the FBI and do serious time.
it's all about style - and Apple has tons of it.
Even the Legends Are Losing in Today's Markets
Brokers are sometimes hung up on their own glory and usually work only in large cap US companies - and those are, and will continue to be, hit hardest.
time for the smaller caps, no doubt..
Did the E*Trade Baby Pay Off?
Once the credit crunch results are clearer this company could jump quickly so keep it on your watch list for a sunny day.. while you're at it I would add JPM as well, who seem to keep getting punished with the sector but lets not forget, they have all of Bear Sterns (R.I.P) assets just waiting to pay off..

Coal and Steel Stocks Take A Hit
1. Coal is a raw material in high demand and this Canadian trust has plenty of it.
2. Canadian law gives energy trust a nice tax break. As an REIT the company passes this benefit on to investors.
3. The Canadian dollar is stronger than the US currency so this position will also shelter against the state the dollar is in.
4. annual dividend of 11%
Three Labor Day Stock Specials: Comverse, Mellanox Technologies and Orckit Communications
There is no apparent reason for Mellanox to decline like this accept the market is punishing everything these days.. this is a time for smart investors to pick up good companies super cheap, I'm hoping Mellanox is one of these..
