Apple has a sale EVERY year the day after THANKSGIVING, not just this year. Best Buy and others regularly have sales of $50 to $150 off of macs. So, where is the news? Trying to make something out of nothing it seems. Try looking at amazon.com, Apple's ipod accounts for 14 of the top 50 best-selling electronics of ANY kind. There is only ONE non-ipod media player in the top 50 (a $25 sandisk). Apple's computer lineup has similar showing in the best-selling lists. Putting products on sale around the holidays has been going on for decades. Just because THIS holiday season is presumed to be weaker than most does not mean that you should ASSUME that Apple needs to discount their products. They are just exceptionally smart at proper marketing. Why don't you do an article about that?
