nothing wrong with competition. as an example, lowes and home depot have different sales and different prices on the same thing. target and walmart have different prices on the same dvd. so what is the big surprise to see different prices for online music? the new pricing for ALL players is only a couple of days old. it will likely take a while for them to settle into it.
also, don't forget that apple offers "complete my album" with itunes. so you can try it before you buy it. you can buy a couple of tracks from an album. then, if you decided to buy the album you just pay the difference between what you paid already and the album price. that is a great policy. also, itunes still has the biggest selection.

so. apple's ONE product generates almost as much traffic as ALL of blackberry products combined. That is absolutely phenomenal news for APPLE. plus apple has computers and ipods and etc.
blackberry is great. but cell phones is all they are.

Apple has a sale EVERY year the day after THANKSGIVING, not just this year. Best Buy and others regularly have sales of $50 to $150 off of macs. So, where is the news? Trying to make something out of nothing it seems. Try looking at amazon.com, Apple's ipod accounts for 14 of the top 50 best-selling electronics of ANY kind. There is only ONE non-ipod media player in the top 50 (a $25 sandisk). Apple's computer lineup has similar showing in the best-selling lists. Putting products on sale around the holidays has been going on for decades. Just because THIS holiday season is presumed to be weaker than most does not mean that you should ASSUME that Apple needs to discount their products. They are just exceptionally smart at proper marketing. Why don't you do an article about that?

Why Apple Stock Is Poised To Go Flat - At Best

let's take a look:
1- market cap - who says apple needs another 300% gain in the next 1.5 years? 200% or 150% would be fine with me.
2-product range- in the last 1.5 years alone apple has added 5 new businesses (ultraportable, cell phone, wireless storage, app store, and movie rentals). what makes you think that they are done?
3- steve jobs- yep he is remarkable. and he is alive and well. the stock would certainly take a hit if he left, but people would not stop buying apple products.
4-profit margins- they are still way way higher than the competition. how much above the competition do you want them to be. your example of the iphone is very misleading. apple gets paid way more than $199 per iphone (the carriers around the world choose the consumer price , but apple gets paid big time either way).
5-economic conditions- you, like many others, have U.S. blinders on. it is a huge world and apple is expanding at a tremendous pace globally. how can you not know this? also, the U.S. economy has been suffering for quite some time now and apple keeps reporting record quarter after record quarter. imagine how apple will do as the U.S. and global economies pick up!

your article just seems to be a summary of all the negative rumours and speculation that surrounds apple without any real thought to the truth. the truth, for the last several years, has disproved every negative "report" about apple. what does that tell you?

does steve jobs wear his seatbelt? does steve balmer smoke? or eat too many cheeseburgers? does martha stuart cliff dive? where do you draw the line?
steve jobs used to be overweight. nobody complained about his heart attack risks then.
lay off. just admit that you are totally wrong and move on.

you state in a reply to mr taxx that apple did not disclose steve job's health issues in 2004. exactly. they said NOTHING. there is a HUGE difference between saying nothing and LYING. in 2004 apple did NOT say steve jobs just has a "bug"... they said he is being treated for cancer.
don't you think that if steve jobs has cancer AND a "bug" that apple would say so? obviously when asked about jobs' health apple knew that the media wanted to know about the cancer. do i wish that apple was clearer for the feeble-minded among us? yes. but the question was asked and answered.

4 Problems With the iPod Touch

I am not sure why you would be so public in your admission that you are unable to learn how to use one of the easiest devices in the world. Although, if one is unable to properly count to 5 (like yourself), i suppose the ipod touch could be somewhat of a challenge.
Also, you tell people to get an ipod classic. but what if "people" do want wifi and email etc. What if "people" do want to watch videos on a bigger screen? Then you just told them to get the wrong ipod. So, i guess, you want other people to get the wrong ipod for them because you got the wrong ipod for you...
