      CPI: 2008 vs. 1980
Buying stocks is not the issue. We all want to buy-that is why we are here. But if you can buy for another 10% discount, why not. That's a year's worth of gains for the typical investor. the trick is not to get too greedy on the down side- you can't buy something good for nothing.

Investors, Traders Create 'Perfect Storm' for Currency ETFs
Be careful here...exact repeat of the last time inflation scare/weak dollar theme was propped up-end of January. That one lasted a few days for FXF which I just cashed out of. The problem is most people who are into these ETFs are probably heavy on commodities too and most likely are shorting US and or emerging markets as well. It all works until it doesn't.

Dry Bulk Shipper Anomaly in Spot Pricing Creates Buy Opportunity
I picked up some Genco in the low $20s back in '06 when it was paying about 10% yield. I can't imagine anyone getting so excited about it in the $60-$70 range. If you must have it now, be ready to get out with any big move up -I will not be holding any shares this summer.

The 'Uptick Rule' (A.K.A The Dangers of Dog Piles)
A while back I commented on GS shadowy activities, and that there should and will be restrictions placed on "professional&quo... shorts. The MBIA complaint is just the start. They may not be the perfect advocates for creating new rules, but more credible players will join in. SEC as it stands today is the wolf in shepherd's clothing. We need visibility in financial markets. When is the retail investor going to get a fair hand in this game?

Gaiam Won't Stay Off of Wall Street Radar for Long
GAIA was a great buy early last year. I picked up some in the $12s. If you buy this at $25 or more, be ready to get out with the first big jump up, if it happens. Every dog has its day...ALY, FTK, TARR, GSOL, HW, BAA, GNK...they come and they go...and come again??
