    CLH, you are wrong. The lower oil price stands for credit crunch. It is very bad. If you see oil price heading 50 bucks, the credit market will be done, VIX will be over 40 and Ted Spread over 300bps.

    I think just the opposite, higher oil price is good for Japan, that is a country in deflation and desperately needs to reflate its economy.

    You should also add the currency depreciation/appreciat... into the chart. Compare index returns without that is meaningless. You will reconsider South Africa market as a winner if you look at the dismal performance of its currency as of late.

    hollowman, so I guess you mean Nikkei 225 should have the highest PEs among all countries all the time as it gets the lowest interest rate in Japan?
    All this monetary policy with cheap money is the root cause for all these troubles, get rid of those financial opiums, otherwise, we move from one bubble to another and finally end up losing the next decade like Japan did.
