Looks Like We're Still a BlackBerry Nation [View article]
why is that anything ever written about the blackberry is immediately followed by the apple nation and the attached smugness of "iPhone rules because _________" Let it go guys. Especially this guy jamesapple who thinks that rim is the reason for today's economic difficulties. laughable and incredibly stupid. or the guy who thinks blackberry=bush and iphone=change. really? is it that simple? what a jerk that guy is. has it ever crossed anyone's mind that the blackberry is perfect for the vast majority of mobile phone users that want a great phone/messaging device and not 100 ways to fart? in the end the choice is made by the user. that will determine end market success, not these dumb opinions about what the iphone is or isn't or what a blackberry can or can't do. also, i love these jerks who say that the ipod touch is a competitor to the blackberry. how can this be? one is a phone and one is an mp3 player with apps. look at every cellular carrier and what do you see? voice pays the bills. data is a small, but growing, part of the biz, but voice is the main moneymaker. so, you buy a blackberry or iphone first for phone calls. can the ipod touch do that out of the box? of course not. dumb comparison. it's really a way for apple fans to feel better about the platform and stroke their egos about its success. interesting that the pure numbers, the actual facts, show that rim is faring very well and growing in spite of apple's presence and growth. has it ever occurred to anyone that perhaps the end market is large enough and growing so that a few companies can succeed in this industry? of course not. if you love some apple like that prick jamesapple, nothing will ever compete, even though the actual sales numbers explicitly demonstrate the opposite. right now rim is kicking apple's ass. maybe when the next os drops that will change, but iphanatics keep saying: "oh, just wait until this, or when that happens it's over. bloodbath!" what a bunch of idiots. rant over.
