  • Expect RIM Turnaround in Back Half of 2009 - UBS [View article]
I still don't understand the point you are making here. This 2 BB, 1 samsung for $45/month unlimited just doesn't exist, at least not on earth. James, which planet are you from? Obviously the conclusion you arrive at based on "facts" is wrong, as the "facts" are just made up by you. I'm thrilled to know that RIM got rid of you, they are a much better organization because of it. I think you are just being an idiot for idiot's sake. That is the only rational explanation. Good luck with that.

This guy is making dumb comments as usual. It just doesn't add up. Smartphone sales skyrocket, yet one of the leaders in the category is dead? huh? Makes no sense. The actual trends just don't agree with this.

Jon T - the Storm was terrible but the software now has advanced enough so that I used to hate it and now I love it. (I am using an OS .114 hybrid v2) Once you get used to the keyboard, I am finding the Storm to be an awesome device. I have an iPhone, a Curve, an 8900 Curve and I have kept using the Storm since the software got tuned.

  • The Benefits of a Standardized MicroUSB [View article]
you give phone buyers way too much credit when saying they are waiting for a post-micro usb world to buy that new gadget. 99% of mobile phone buyers don't even think about the charger. They just expect it to come in the box. I certainly hope this standardization is the future as it will make things easier especially when traveling.

  • Apple's $199 iPhone Is a Game-Changer [View article]
Those who believe this will result in a binary outcome with only one winner and all others losers aren't paying attention to the aggregate market for these devices. I've also never known Apple to subsidize any product as it hurts the perceived value in the long run. Scott Moritz is notoriously bad at these predictions and any article predicated in this is suspect. Your numbers of 25 mln this year, 100 mln next year are ridiculous. They'll do closer to 15 mln and 30-40 mln next year. Still reason to be long Apple but not nearly as egregious.
