I have not followed Andy before but I do follow and own Apple. His analysis makes a lot of sense. If you look at Apple's price over the past 12 months it ran from 190 at the end of January 2010 to 270 by late April. A 40+% gain. Then Apple and the market went into a funk and Apple oscillated around the 250 level spiking to the 270's then falling back to the 230's between April and late August. This range of price oscillation was about 12-15% from the highs to the lows. In late August Apple as well as the market began a steady and sustained up trend and Apple ran up to its current level and stayed above its 50 day MA the whole way. A 45% gain during this period. A market correction and a similar correction to Apple that occurred last summer would put its share price right where Andy is predicting. Might not happen but it makes sense.
How do you calculate a PE for China Finance On-Line of 172? Looks to me like its about 45 on 07 earnings and about 28 on projected 08 earnings. Its growing at 50%. Looks like a bargin to me. Am I missing something??
