I mistakenly thought the same but then I realized Cramer meant BBRY was not going to disappear

  • BlackBerry Set To Plummet [View article]
Nothing better than a real comparison. Nothing beats bbry in enterprise mobile productivity and security. A q10 feels, acts and looks like a professional and sexy companion. Email, bbm, attachments, writing, best antenna, audio, flexible and super fast OS,... so much more to talk about and always more exciting stuff. You can have them all the iPhone, the android, the windows phone but you'll always miss the old bb7 and the new bb10

  • BlackBerry: A Case Of Stockholm Syndrome [View article]
I'm sure glad the doomsayers got handed over a major stick on Dec 20th. They were right about the bad numbers but wrong about the market reactions to even worse numbers nobody could even imagine. I'm certainly laughing my a$$ off for the first time before a very long time when it comes to BBRY and I do hope Chen will lead BBRY to a healthy state. They do have communication products worth for professionals. I want to thank Chen for this first successful ER and I'll buy my first Q10 right after Christmas to replace my company provided iphone (how in a hell can a professional squeeze productivity out of an iphone???)

Why did you buy in now with the upcoming QE expected to be a disaster? Wouldn't it be in the low $5 then?

  • BlackBerry's Failed Turnaround Sends Avoid Signal [View article]
Isn't it a little premature to call BBRY dead? It apparently is still very much alive and restructuring. It's still serve a purpose to a niche market worth billions. Not like the billions of the Apple or Samsung but billions enough to be profitable. But yes if BBRY can't be profitable despite restructuring, it will wind up dead indeed

  • BlackBerry reportedly shot down breakup offers [View news story]
The mass consumers, Wall Street, the investment market and even some of the actual BBRY enterprise customers. Hopefully the new CEO will be able to stabilize the business and regain the trust of BBRY target customers being the professionals and presumes in general and consumers in BBRY friendly regions

You were right, Andreas. Thanks for the advice. I just don't have the will power to sell at this point. I hope you made something there. You deserve it.

That hurts. What will $1B extra do? I thought they had more than enough cash. I'm so confused. How can I sell at this level when I couldn't pull the trigger at $8. What a misery...

Wiesje, just out of curiosity, where did you get that new open letter? Not that it matters much now. This is worth that on the roulette table at this very moment. Not feeling good for Monday but I can't sell. Not even sure if a stop loss at $7 is a good idea...

Are you referring to the letter from October 14th or a new one? Looking at the company news and PRs, I don't think they've issued a new one since then.

Bashers have been right for so long. Why would they stop? Nothing and nobody so far proved them wrong. This buyout or whatever strategic move is one major opportunity to do so. I do hope it'll happen and give the shareholders a taste of winning after so much beating. After all BBRY is not such evil or bad company. They've got great products and loyal customers. There're worst companies out there to bash.

BYOD doesn't make sense from an IT application architecture standpoint unless mobile applications for the enterprises are only based on HTML5. In this case, you can forgot about device dependent features like sensor, camera, accelerometer...

BYOD has not worked for the PC due to many issues like security, compatibility, productivity, support...

It shouldn't work for the mobile device for similar reasons. I remember BYOD for PC when secretaries were allowed to use Macs. The secretaries have mostly disappeared now and everybody gets the same ghosted PC either based on Windows or on Linux for few organizations.

So if business mobile applications can deliver using only HTML5 then BYOD makes sense.
