Retired auto toolmaker d.o.b. 6/16/23 married, wife dob 11/25/17. Longevity: left New York State for Texas in '92. Better doctors at least in our case. Son and two daughters. One daughter is retired teacher. Son is truck driver who won't give up. He has been declared disabled by two doctors, but he painfully rehabbed himself after back surgery. Says the only comfortable seat he can find is the one in the truck. He is also a blues musician and an essayist, He has a recording studio at home and one in the truck. He's my inspiration.

I counted on Thornburg Mortgage for income, Lost heavily there, Gradually cleaned up the small portfolio. I think it is about right now. Maybe only add some solid stuff occasionally.

Sweating out the GM thing. The government seems hell bent on breaking the union. Won't happen. Wagoner was OK. Henderson is too. UAW has raised American standard of living.

Cured of blogging 08-10-09. Nah!

GM thing is working out. A little smaller pension; pills cost a little more. Still have $12 taken from pension for South Detroit Community Fund. They are soldiering on. Without the health care burden union auto can compete.

My mother made the sailor suit. My hair looks the same; cut it myself - infrequently.
